The Devil-Dogs MC club in Denver will be hosting a poker run this July to benefit area VFW's. If you don't already have plans, please save the date.

The Devil-Dogs MC are comprised of former United States Marines and have a chapter in Denver and do some great things for all veterans, including a big poker run coming up Saturday, July 18.

Cost is only $20 for the first hand and then $5 for additional hands. Registration will take place at the VFW post 2461 (1350 S Broadway) in Denver starting at 11:00 a.m.

Since 1899, the VFW's voice had been instrumental in establishing the Veterans Administration, creating a GI Bill for the 20th century, the development of the national cemetery system and the fight for compensation for Vietnam vets exposed to Agent Orange and for veterans diagnosed with Gulf War Syndrome. In 2008, VFW won a long-fought victory with the passing of a GI Bill for the 21st Century, giving expanded educational benefits to America's active-duty service members, and members of the Guard and Reserves, fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. Without the continued support VFW post are forced to shut down which means these services will no longer be available for all who have fought to provide us our freedom. Please join us to raise money so Post like 2461 can continue the great service they provide!

100% of the proceeds will benefit Denver area VFW's. There will be lots of prizes to win and coffee and donuts will be provided during registration. For more information to get involved please call Recon at 303-907-5274.
