Pig Named Superman Raises $47,500 at National Western Stock Show Auction
National Western Stock Show Grand Champion Steer "Trevor"
My wife and I watched The Auction of Jr. Champions at the National Western Stock Show last night on 9 News. It reminds me of selling my pigs in 4-H when I was growing up. The Grand Champion Steer went for $100,000. However, the most most exciting auction was for the Grand Champion pig. An oinker named Superman was sold for $47,500. Most every kid who sells an animal in the auction plans to use the money to go to college.
