‘Peace Out,’ Little Piece of My Heart in Downtown Loveland Closing Shop
A shop that started on 4th Street and is now in Fort Collins, Golden, Boulder and Denver, is closing the original shop that started it all.
It all started in Downtown Loveland, but now with four other locations , five is just too many.
The northwest corner of Jefferson Avenue and 4th Street in Downtown Loveland has seen more than a few businesses over the years, but one that seemed like a 'groovy' fit, now has to let the corner shop go, to help the businesses grow.
Little Piece of My Heart has announced that they'll be closing their Loveland location at the end of December, after about three years. It's been a industrious three years, however for the little shop that's name comes from the Janis Joplin classic.
The 'shop' now has four locations:
Fort Collins
125 South College, next to All Sales Vinyl.
Boulder
Off of Broadway and Pennsylvania, a few doors north of The Fox Theatre.
Golden
Downtown near Washington and 13th Street.
Denver
South Broadway at Bayaud, next to Voodoo Donuts.
When you look at where these four 'new' locations are, as compared to where it all started at the east end of 4th Street in Downtown Loveland, it's not terribly surprising that if you had to pick one to close, Loveland would be the one.
From their Facebook post:
...We gave Loveland our best but it’s come to the point where we have to make the best decision for our company, employees and families. So much love to each and all of you! We will remain open until the end of December so come grab those Xmas gifts! Thank you thank you Loveland. All my love- Stephanie
Directly behind Little Piece of My Heart in Loveland is Dark Heart Coffee. I can see Dark Heart moving the storefront to 4th street and then taking up that entire stretch of Jefferson from 4th to the alley.
Good Luck, Little Piece of My Heart, you'll leave a little piece in Loveland.
