Mandatory evacuations were ordered Wednesday as the Mullen Fire in Wyoming approaches the Colorado state line.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office says that the evacuation orders are for all residents north of the junction known as the "3 Way" at highways 125 and 127. The Roach and Hohnhols areas in northwest Larimer County are also under a mandatory evacuation order due to immediate and imminent danger.

The Mullen Fire started in the Medicine Bow National Forest southwest of Centennial, Wyoming on September 17. Since the fire started, it has grown to 117,420 acres, according to the latest official update.
