Are Northern Coloradans Lazy? The Rest of the Country Thinks So
When I see the men and women in Northern Colorado, I see a group of people who are passionate about what they do no matter the industry that they work in.
Northern Colorado is home to many different types of professions: manufacturing, tech, food and agriculture, health and wellness, and countless others. I view our region as incredibly hard-working. Do others not see us that way? It appears so.
Northern Colorado Left Out of Ranking
A new ranking was released. WalletHub ranked the most hard-working cities in America and Northern Colorado did not crack the top 100. Three other Colorado cities did make the top 100.
To create this list WalletHub considered the average workweek hours, amount of people in each household who work, and many other factors.
Colorado’s Hardest-Working Cities
Denver was rated the ninth hardest-working city in America. This is most likely due to Denver’s economy and how many people work in the Mile High city. Aurora was ranked the 17th most hard-working, and Colorado Springs ranked at 35.
Hard-Working Might Not Be A Good Thing
The study asked a lot about why Americans work longer hours and why our lives are surrounded by work more than other questions.
We pride ourselves on working hard, but being overworked is a problem that many of us face here in Colorado. 89% of Americans have been burned out in the past year. Sure, the stress of our personal lives and managing a household have a play in burnout, but we believe that our jobs are the most prevalent reason behind the stress.
