Just because you can't see it, doesn't mean it's not there.

I couldn't sleep last night after spending the day in the garage in 100 degree temps building a planter box. I was restless, so I stepped outside for some fresh air to see if that would help. I noticed that the sky was very clear and the stars were shining brightly. I decided to jump in the car and see if I could capture anything fun.

I took the drive to one of our regular fishing spots, which is Lonetree Reservoir just south of Loveland. I decided that this would be a pretty good location to try out a MIlky Way shot, even with all of the light pollution. I was the only one there, which felt a bit odd. After a few shots, I could hear quick rustling in the bushes and then a few loud cackles from coyotes. By the sounds, there might have been about 8-10 of them and close by. I snapped the last shot and decided to head back to the car as I was a bit creeped out, then headed back home.

This photo is a 9 photo panorama. Three photos wide and three photos tall.

Taken at Lonetree Reservoir at 11:05 p.m. on July 10th, 2016.
