Another King Sooper’s Is Coming to Northern Colorado, Here’s Where and When
King Soopers is one of the most popular grocery stores in Colorado, and it's where I do most of my grocery shopping. I often visit the location on North College Avenue in Fort Collins, although the frequent announcements reminding shoppers about car theft prevention can be a bit unusual.

Another King Soopers is coming to Northern Colorado. Here is when and where you can visit.
Fort Collins Adding Another Grocery Store
More King Soopers locations are coming. A new one will open in east Loveland in 2026. A new Fort Collins King Soopers will open as soon as next year.
The process began in 2022 when it was announced that the location at 2211 South College Avenue would close and a new one would be built.
The new King Soopers will be built on the corner of West Drake Road and South College Avenue.
About the New King Soopers in Northern Colorado
According to Galloway, the new King Soopers will be 11 acres and will feature seven gas pumps. Additionally, the store will have a drive-thru pharmacy and will be a major upgrade from the King Soopers which is a quick walk away.
What will happen to the old King Soopers? We are not sure. However, we are excited for the new King Soopers to open up.

If you live or visit Fort Collins you have probably noticed the construction that has been taking place the past year or so. The new King Soopers on Drake and College, known as King Soopers #146, will open in January 2025.
