My Incredible Easy Traditional Christmas Eve Lasagna Recipe – Brian’s Blog
Lasagna is one of my all time favorite meals. We traditionally have lasagna on Christmas Eve using my mothers recipe that I have used for decades. Now keep in mind that I am a very fussy eater and can’t stand a lot of foods that others love. I hate that baby vomit looking ricotta cheese, so I do not use any of that. You are free to add it if you like. Here is all you will need.
One box of oven ready lasagna noodles (it’s cheating but they taste just fine)
2 lbs hamburger
1 tsp vinegar
2 dashes of Worcestershire sauce
a pinch of oregano, basil and garlic salt
2 15 oz cans tomato sauce
A bag of cheddar and mozzarella cheeses
Brown and drain the hamburger then add all the ingredients except the cheese and noodles and let simmer for 5 minutes or so. Put of scoop of meat mixture in a 9×13 pan then cover with a layer of noodles. Add another layer of meat mixture then top with cheese. Repeat process until all is gone. Usually about 3 layers. Now bake in the oven at 350 degrees. I cover it with foil for the first half hour then remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes. I like to serve mine with fresh french bread and pickle spears. Enjoy!
