You either love or despise snow in Colorado. Either way, dealing with snow is part of being a Coloradan. Personally, I love snow. As we have been eagerly waiting for snow to fall in Northern Colorado and the Denver metro, a thought came to mind. What is the record for the most snow days in a row?
Do you remember the most consecutive days of snow? If you do, you have to at least be in your forties.

Do you remember 1984? Then you might remember the longest run of snow days in Colorado. On January 27, 1984, it did not snow for the first time in 63 days, according to the National Weather Service. The previous record was back in 2007 with 61 consecutive snow days.
We looked at data that specifically looked at snow in the Denver metro and Northern Colorado.
Colorado Snow Expectations For 2024
Some believe that the longer we wait for snow, the more snowfall we’ll get. However, according to the Farmer’s Almanac, that’s not the case this year. We’re only expected to see slightly above-average snowfall for the season.

Last year, we had our first snow of the season on October 28. At the time of writing, on November 4, we are still waiting for our first real snow in Northern Colorado. I say real snow because we had a laughable dusting of snow the week prior at my home in Fort Collins.
