The traffic on South College Avenue in Fort Collins is already starting to heat up, and now it's going to start getting worse than it already is.

According to a press release sent out by CDOT, resurfacing of College Avenue between Harmony Road and Horsetooth Road will start Sunday night. Through August, motorists should expect delays associated with single and double lane closures Sunday through Thursday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The release states that College Avenue will remain open to traffic during the work. As necessary, traffic control personnel will assist traffic through major intersections. Affected driveways and side streets will be closed intermittently when milling equipment passes through. During paving operations, detour routes will be provided for traffic turning on and off College Avenue during overnight asphalt placement.

Crews will proceed north along College Avenue to Mulberry Street throughout the summer.
