Mike Vick was once the greatest athlete on the planet. Could you imagine if he had ditched football for baseball? He had the option to come play baseball for the Colorado Rockies.
Vick didn't decide to switch from the sport that made him famous to give baseball a shot. I guess you could say that he skipped his Michael Jordan moment.
As a guy who grew up in the early 2000s, I was enamoured by Mike Vick's athleticism. I remember every kid in my neighborhood tried to start throwing a football with their left hand.

Mike Vick is now an analyst, media personality, and podcaster. He recently shed some light on the possibility of living in Colorado.

Vick posted a clip of his podcast on social media. He was discussing when he was shocked to see that he was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the MLB draft.
Vick was drafted in the 30th round.
We could not find any record of Vick playing in college or even high school. We are under the assumption that he stopped playing baseball when he started gaining national attention for football.
Why Did the Rockies Draft Him?
Well, in the 30th round, drafting Mike Vick was not a huge risk to take. We are assuming it is because Mike Vick, at the time, had one of the best throwing arms on planet Earth.
