$2 Million Mega Millions Ticket Sold in Northern Colorado

A $5 investment paid off big this week in Northern Colorado when one lucky person got a major return on a Mega Millions ticket.

According to KDVR, the lucky winner matched all five numbers on the Mega Millions ticket with a 2x multiplier. The winning Mega Millions numbers for Tuesday's drawing were 7, 13, 26, 37, 68, and the Mega Ball of 8.

The player's ticket won a $1 million prize.  However, since the multiplier was in play, that $1 million lottery prize was doubled to $2 million at no extra cost.

Winning Ticket Purchased at Windsor King Soopers

The lucky lottery player purchased the ticket at the Windsor King Soopers located at 1520 Main Street. No one has come forward to claim the $2 million Mega Millions prize as of yet. The winner has 180 days from the drawing to come forward to collect the multi-million-dollar prize.

No one has won the Mega Millions jackpot, which is now valued at $277,000,000. The next drawing for the Mega Millions lottery is coming up on Friday evening. Tickets for the Mega Millions lottery are $5 each and include a random multiplier of 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, or 10X, which is assigned at the time of purchase for no additional cost.

I don't play lottery games very often, but with a jackpot over $250 million, it is very tempting to purchase a ticket. You never know if you are going to be the next millionaire off of a couple of dollars' worth of lottery tickets.
