Meet Emmett: Our NOCO Humane Pet of the Week
If you are considering adopting a pet for your household, we highly recommend that you head to NOCO Humane first. I have adopted a pet from NOCO Humane and I could not be more happy with how the process went.
Adopting a pet is a huge decision for any household. That is why we would like to highlight an animal each week that is available for adoption in Northern Colorado. This way, you can get more insight into the cat, dog, or critter before you stop in and say hi.
Here is this week's Townsquare NoCo Pet of the Week.
Meet Emmett: Ready for Adoption in Northern Colorado
Isn't Emmett handsome? Look at that guy! Emmett is a three-year-old Domestic Longhair who is as sweet as he is playful. Emmett came to NOCO Humane as a stray and quickly charmed everyone with his lovable personality. While he enjoys engaging in playful activities, Emmett can get overstimulated at times and needs moments to relax and warm up before he’s ready for affection.
Because he’s not a fan of being picked up or carried, he would do best in a home without children under 12.
What To Consider Before Adopting Emmett from NOCO Humane
Emmett has tested positive for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), but don’t let that deter you. With proper care and a loving environment, Emmett can lead a long, happy, and healthy life. He’s searching for a patient and understanding adopter who can give him the chance to thrive.
I have a cat that I adopted six years ago that has a similar virus. She is a healthy and happy girl. You just have to pay a little closer attention.
If you’re ready to provide Emmett with the special home he deserves, you can learn more about him below.
