Longtime Fort Collins Home Brew Shop Closing
Some people me just pick up the cheapest bottle of pinot grigio they can find on a Friday night. Others take the time to make their own unique wines right in their own homes.
Unfortunately for our more talented friends, Fort Collins' longtime home brew shop Hops and Berries is closing after 15 years.
Started in 2005 by Colin and Shannon Westcott, the company provides locals with the ingredients and equipment to make their own wine, beer, mead, and cheese at home.
The owners announced the shop's closure in a Facebook post on Tuesday (September 1), but stated on their website that they will continue to support the community until their final day on October 31.
Until then, patrons can keep up with the store online here, or stop by in-person from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
Hops and Berries is also hosting its final sale until September 2. It might be time for me to put down the pinot grigio and pick up a wine-making kit.
