Larimer County has surpassed 14,000 COVID-19 cases after the Larimer County Department of Health added 235 new COVID-19 cases to its cumulative total on Wednesday (Dec. 23).

There have now been 14,029 COVID-19 cases in Larimer County since the beginning of the pandemic.

Among the 235 new cases, 119 were found in Fort Collins, 76 in Loveland, 11 each in Berthoud and Wellington, and 8 in Windsor. Other cases were scattered in Bellvue, Estes Park, Johnstown, Laporte, Livermore and Timnath.

The youngest case is a 6-year-old Fort Collins girl and the oldest case is a 97-year-old Loveland man.

With the holiday season among us, the Larimer County Department of Health is urging people to not let up on COVID-19 precautions. Recommendations from health officials include:

  • Spend the rest of December only interacting in-person with the people you live with.
  • Keep a distance of at least 6 feet away from people you don’t live with.
  • Wear a mask when you go out in public.
