The cumulative total of COVID-19 cases in Larimer County continues to trend in the wrong direction.

According to the Loveland Reporter-Herald, the Larimer County Department of Health reported 56 new confirmed coronavirus cases on Wednesday (Oct. 28). The county's new cumulative total stands at 3,930 since the beginning of the pandemic in March.

Among the 56 new confirmed cases, 38 cases were found in Fort Collins, 12 in Loveland, and two in Berthoud. Cases were also confirmed in Johnstown, Windsor and LaPorte, totaling at one case per area. One other case is still being investigated to confirm its origin.

The youngest case is a 9-year-old Loveland girl, and the oldest case is an 81-year-old Loveland man.

The number of COVID related suspect cases, deaths, and outbreaks in Larimer County remain unchanged. Those totals currently stand at 497, 57 and 69, respectively.
