Lake Loveland Beach Reopening After E. Coli Breakout
The public beach at Lake Loveland reopened Wednesday after an E. Coli scare.
Officials closed the public beach at 2750 N. Taft Ave. on Tuesday.
High levels of E. Coli were found during testing, according to the City of Loveland Parks & Recreation department.
E. Coli is a bacteria that can cause numerous infections and gastrointestinal illnesses when someone comes in contact with the contaminated water.
Officials regularly test the water levels to ensure safety.
The Lake Loveland public beach is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
