Centaurus High School in Lafayette, Colorado officially went on lockdown Wednesday (March 3) after reports of shots fired near the campus.

According to The Denver Channel, shots were heard just before 10:45 a.m., which is when deputies from the Boulder County Sheriff's Office began canvassing the school. Angevine Middle School and Ryan Elementary School, which have campuses nearby, were also put on lockout "as a precaution".

According to Lafayette Police in a tweet, no harm to students or staff has been reported:
