Keith Whitley Sees His Last Number One Hit on This Date [VIDEO]
Keith Whitley is one of the greatest country singers of all time. I can only imagine how huge he would have become if he wouldn't have sadly lost his life at the age of 33 back in 1989. He was only with us for a short time but influenced so many of today's country stars.
On this date back in 1989 Keith hit number for what would be the last time while he was still alive with the smash "I'm No Stranger to the Rain". He would top the charts a couple more times after he died but this was the last one that Keith would see in his lifetime. He was one of the first artists we ever played when we became K99. It's been 27 years since he left us but the impact of that voice is still being felt today. We miss you Keith.
