How Do Colorado Families Spend Time Enjoying Holiday Festivities?
With the holiday season now in full swing, there are plenty of different activities and festivities to be had.
You can go out to explore the numerous Colorado towns that light up with holiday cheer, cut down your own Christmas tree, or even spend some time lighting up your house like it’s Christmas Vacation.
However, for many, the holiday season means you will be spending more time with loved ones. For some people, that’s certainly a tall task. However, for others, it is a great time to spread the holiday spirit throughout the household.
Recently, Gunther Volkswagen in Daytona Beach, Florida, made a comprehensive study about how much time people in each state spend with their families doing activities over the holiday season. While it is certainly an unlikely source, they did a fantastic job.
For the study, they particularly mean activities done as the holiday season begins, which they note is November 3rd. In terms of how much time Colorado families spend with each other participating in holiday activities, the average amount may be shocking.
Colorado Ranks 7th in the Country for Time Spent With Family Doing Festive Activities
That’s right, Colorado ranks within the top ten for the amount of time spent with family doing holiday activities with a total average of 11 hours and 36 minutes.
Not only that, but 90% of Colorado participants in the poll noted that the best part of the holiday season is being able to spend time with their families.
How Much Time Do Families From Other States Spend With Each Other?
While Colorado families certainly spend a huge amount of time together doing holiday activities, we pale in comparison to the top state.
Moving out to New England, families from Vermont easily spend the most amount of time together doing holiday activities. They spend an average of 15 hours and 36 minutes participating in holiday festivities, a whole 4 hours more than Colorado families and 1 hour and 36 minutes ahead of Utah and Rhode Island, who are tied for second.
On the flip side, a different New England state took the cake for the least amount of time spent with family doing holiday activities. Maine only averages 5 hours and 26 minutes, with Colorado families beating them out by a whopping 6 hours and 10 minutes.
