Colorado’s Outside Festival Is Getting a New Name and New Location for 2026
Colorado has no shortage of great festivals that take place each year, and one of these events that incorporates music, film, and outdoor activities will once again be held in Denver in 2026, but with a new name and at a new venue.
Changes to Colorado’s Outside Festival
For the first two years in which it was held, the Outside Festival took place at Civic Center Park in downtown Denver and featured musical acts including Lord Huron, Trampled By Turtles, Fleet Foxes, and Thundercat.

The inaugural festival saw an attendance of roughly 18,000 people, with the number expanding to 35,000 people the following year in 2025.
Next year, the festival will be called Outside Days and will take place at Denver’s Auraria Campus, which is home to the University of Colorado-Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and Community College of Denver.
The 2026 festival is set to take place on May 29th, 30th, and 31st.
What Can Be Expected at Colorado’s 2026 Outside Days?
While the entertainment lineup hasn’t been announced yet, the festival will feature live music and independent film screenings, with plenty of other activities onsite.
These include yoga, art presentations, guest speakers, climbing, games, and much more.
According to the event’s official website, Outside Days focuses on four key elements: music, ideas, film, and fun.
Footage from past festivals shows attendees of all ages gathered in Civic Center Park watching live music, attending workshops, and participating in a variety of outdoor activities.
