A totally unique and patented ice cream purveyor is coming to Colorado, after over 10 years of success.

These guys, though not selected by any of the Sharks, were on "Shark Tank" in 2013. Maybe you saw them. Those sharks may be thinking twice, with a new location slated for Fort Collins, Colorado.

Once they open, they'll be a "destination" spot for those who love ice cream, science, and fun. With Fort Collins being the home of Colorado State University, the Choice City makes the perfect place for them to start in Colorado.

Kids (of all ages) love ice cream, and this particular ice cream shop is one that kids can learn from. They get a sweet treat and learn something while you're all there; maybe your kids will walk out not only happy but inspired.

Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream will be opening a location in Colorado, west of Elizabeth Street and City Park Avenue; near the Colorado State University campus.

What is Nitrogen Ice Cream?

Developed by the husband-and-wife co-founders of Sub Zero, the patented process uses nitrogen to take liquid cream and drop its temperature to -321 Fahrenheit.

You can choose from over 30 flavors and over 30 "mix-ins" (candy, nuts, fruit, etc.) and it only takes about 2 minutes from start to finish.

Because it is nitrogen-based, it doesn't require big, expensive freezer units, and it's portable for catering and a food truck.

When Sub Zero was on "Shark Tank," they were looking for a $300,000 investment in exchange for 12% of the company; not one Shark was interested enough.

Too bad for those Sharks.
