Popular Shopping Brand Closing Nearly 100 Locations Including Multiple In Colorado

Downsizing has become quite the unpopular trend around Colorado when it comes to small and larger businesses. We've lost more local restaurants and shopping locations in the last year than we care to even remember.

From Bed, Bath, & Beyond, Big Lots, Tuesday Morning, Macy's, and beyond on the big chain front, we're losing stores that we thought would always be around. Sadly, we took many of these beloved locations for granted and we're about to add another popular one to the list.

Express Files Bankruptcy And Will Close 100 Stores Including Colorado Locations

A fashion favorite in Colorado, Express, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this month, and as a part of that will now permanently close nearly 100 current locations. Multiple closing locations are located in Colorado.

Closing sales have begun at the Express locations in Loveland at the Promenade Shops at Centerra. Broomfield at Flatirons Crossing Mall, and in Denver on the 16th Street Mall.

Did All Express Stores Close In Colorado?

While those three are closing, there will still be locations in Aurora, Littleton, and Denver, as well as Express Factory Outlet locations in Lakewood, Thornton, and Castle Rock.

An Express representative told the AP that outside of the closures, the retail giant expects to precede "business as usual," for now at least.
