When you find a local restaurant or business that you love, it's always hard to say goodbye. Sadly, another restaurant icon in Colorado for over five decades has closed its doors for good.
Colorado Restaurant Closes After More Than Five Decades
We lost so many incredible restaurants and businesses in 2023, way too many. When 2024 kicked off, we had hopes that it would go a lot differently. Sadly though, we've seen many popular restaurants and businesses shutter their doors already.
After opening in 1972, this Iconic Colorado Restaurant has served thousands and thousands of happy customers over its 50+ years in business. If you love Italian food, there's a good chance you've dined at, or at least heard of this popular Colorado restaurant staple. Not only for its food but also for its breathtaking views in one of the most beautiful cities in the entire state.
The Dunraven In Estes Park Permanently Closed
In a heartfelt message from owners Adam and Cindy Morgan, they have announced that after half a century in Estes Park, Colorado, their beloved Dunraven, has sadly closed for good.
The statement from Adam Morgan, shared by Estes Park News, said:
With a very heavy heart, I must share the news that will undoubtedly resonate deeply within our community. My wife Cindy and I have had to make the very difficult decision to close our iconic establishment which has been a cornerstone of the Estes Park culinary landscape, The Dunraven. While the closure of The Dunraven marks the end of an era, let it also serve as a reminder of the importance of supporting our local businesses. In these challenging times, it is more vital than ever that we rally together to ensure the vibrancy and resilience of our town’s economy.
As he mentioned in his goodbye to the community, it's so important to support local restaurants and businesses that you love because without that support, they cannot keep the doors open, and we'll continue to lose amazing gems like the Iconic Dunraven. Thanks for decades of memories, Dunraven.
