With Colorado State Men's Basketball being invited into the First Four of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, there's a lot of excitement.

If they make it further and further into the tournament, it may because of one interesting thing.

CSU Men's Basketball's In-Conference record for the season was 10-8; overall they went 25-10. For more than a few weeks during the season they were among the nations' Top 25 teams.

The team has now been invited into 12 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournaments: their record so far, is 5-12. That record may move to 6-12, or even better, if one thing keeps happening, which corelates to their winning.

Many will say that Virginia didn't really have a chance against CSU on March 19, 2024, that's why CSU gave them a beat-down, 67-42.

Would things have gone different, however, if one man, unaffiliated with the Rams, had done what he has been doing?

Matt L. Stephens is a sports writer who used to write for The Coloradoan and The Denver Post; he now lives in Charlotte, North Carolina.

He's a huge CSU Men's Basketball fan, and his support of the team, may be a part of their winning.

Nobody is saying that the team doesn't have strong talent, and that Coach Medved isn't fantastic, but I don't think anyone is going to want Matt to stop wearing CSU shirts.

Is Matt's Shirts Helping the Rams Win?

When the Rams were in the 2024 Mountain West Tournament, he posted from his home in Charlotte:

Game Final: Colorado State wins over #2 seed Nevada, 85-78.

On March 19, prior to the Rams tipping off in that first "First Four" game, Matt posted again:

Game Final: Colorado State stomps Virginia, 67-42.

With that, Matt committed himself:

Will the "CSU Shirts From 2007 For the Win" trend continue when CSU takes on Texas on March 21, 2024? Will the Rams, with the help of Matt, be hearing "One Shining Moment"
