Big Dig Event Brings Tonka Truck Dreams to Life
Have you ever driven down Interstate 25 and marveled at all that big equipment at Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers?
You know, the place that fills up with excavators, heavy cranes, dump trucks, dozers, lifts and more.
Have you wondered what it would be like to operate those big machines?
Well, here’s your chance.
The American Cancer Society’s Big Dig Colorado 2024 is coming to Northern Colorado, and it’s not just about the heavy equipment—it’s about making a big difference in the fight against childhood cancer, something often gone lesser noticed. After accidents, cancer is the second-leading cause of death in children ages 1 to 14.
On Sept. 7, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers in Longmont will transform into a playground where kids and adults alike can climb aboard and even operate construction equipment. Whether you’re a big kid or a little one, this event is a dream come true, offering a unique, hands-on experience that the whole family will enjoy.
But Big Dig Colorado is more than just fun and games. It supports an important cause — childhood cancer research. Every ticket sold helps fund critical research that could lead to life-saving treatments for children battling cancer right here in Colorado.
In addition to the heavy machinery, the event will feature face painting, a balloon artist, a fun ride, food trucks, and games and activities at sponsor booths. It’s a day packed with excitement and purpose.
