How Are Colorado's Skin Cancer Rates?
According to Axios, Colorado is in line with the national average when it comes to the amount of new cases of melanoma each year. That's good news on the whole, but nobody wants to be diagnosed, at all. Proper sunscreen, along with proper application can help alleviate "skin cancer" fears.
A sunburn can quickly ruin a great hike along a Colorado trail; finding out later that you have melanoma because you didn't use great sunscreen will be disappointing as well.
You or someone you know have probably had moles checked out; I have a ton of moles. I did have a case of basil cell carcinoma once; I had it removed and all is well, but you better believe I take care to use good sunscreen and lots of it.

Also, put the sunscreen on before you are actually out in the sun. Give it a little time to "seep in." When I go for an outdoor activity in summer, I put the sunscreen on, then start the car.
