Being so far from Philadelphia, it's amazing how many Coloradans love a good Philly Cheesesteak. One, in Northern Colorado, is only the second location of a place that has been in Colorado since the 80s.

Where is the First Old Town Philly in Colorado?

Old Philly Town has had a little shop in Broomfield since 1984, off of 120th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard. Imagine, being there since the mid-80s, the number of businesses that they've seen come and go there at Broomfield Plaza.

Where is Frederick's Old Philly Town?

Frederick's Old Philly Town is in the heart of their Downtown, at 515 Oak Street. Be sure to head across the street to Serrated Burger Bar and play the great arcade games they have.

In 2023 The Denver Post put Old Town Philly on their list of "10 Best Philly Cheesesteaks Around Denver," so you have to believe they serve up some tasty "Phillies."

I've had a cheesesteak in Philadelphia; I have be honest, I think it was "too" authentic, for me. Was it the Cheese Whiz? I'm not sure. Looking at Old Town Philly's menu, I think I'd go with their "East Coastin:"

Thinly sliced ribeye, green bell peppers, caramelized onions with melted cream cheese.

Maybe it's because I was raised by a native of New Jersey; Mom always liked her Phillies with green peppers and onions, adding melted cream cheese as well may have made her head explode with happiness.

Frederick, Colorado Has Some Great Restaurants

Frederick is one the best little towns in Colorado; I've always been a big fan. I've often visited after playing disc golf in nearby Firestone. Frederick is known for having some great restaurants, like Georgia Boys BBQ, and the great Mexican restaurant, Rumbo 52.

It's hard for anyone in Colorado not to enjoy the site of hot air balloons up in the sky. They way that they fly so gentle and look so majestic against the backdrop of Colorado's beauty.
