There's something comforting about having a regular place to go for meeting friends, having a meal, a drink. Loveland's Rock Bottom has been one of those great places in Colorado that family and friends have hung out, first dates have happened, parties have gathered.

How Long Has Rock Bottom Been at the Promenade Shops at Centerra?

When the Promenade Shops at Centerra first opened in 2005, you might remember there being a Foley's; Foley's became a Macy's around 2006. It wouldn't be until a year after that that Rock Bottom would come to the shops, in 2007.

It was very disheartening to hear about the original Rock Bottom Brewery, on 16th Street in Denver, being closed down in June of 2026. 2026 marked Rock Bottom's 35th year; but longevity does not always lead to "forever." My fear is that's how things will go with the Loveland location; with them coming up on 20 years, will they remain?

In 2024 the Rock Bottom breweries were part of buy out by a firm out of southern California. That company did still own the 16th Street Rock Bottom when it closed and still does (as of the summer of 2026) still own the Loveland location.

Loveland Rock Bottom Brought in New Changes, Will They Be Enough?

It was in early 2025, that we began seeing new changes at the Loveland Rock Bottom, maybe the biggest of which was adding domestic beers (Bud Light, Coors Light, etc.) to their selection of draft beers. For over 15 years, only Rock Bottom beers flowed from those taps; this change definitely signaled a new frontier.

They've also leaned into being more of a sports bar, by highlighting UFC broadcasts and promoting their Sunday Ticket package for football season. Changes like that can bring in a younger crowd, who might be more thirsty, and have more money to spend,

As of the summer of 2026 just three Rock Bottoms are still in Colorado, including Loveland's; there are only five in the entire country. I, for one, will be very disappointed if they shut Loveland's down.
