Good While It Lasted: Goodbye To This Final Colorado Sushi Spot
A couple months ago we told you about a popular sushi restaurant across the State of Colorado that was going to close four of its five locations, but that the original Denver location would endure.
Denver Sushi Empire Ends
Sadly, that no longer appears to be the case as the owner has announced on social media that he will be closing the original location - in fact, his last remaining open restaurant - to pursue other culinary visions.
Sushi-Rama in the RiNo district of Denver has been open since 2015, which was when Jeff Osaka opened not only the cool conveyor belt served sushi joint, but also Osaka Ramen, which also recently closed.
After the original Sushi-Rama took off, Osaka copied and pasted the concept and brand across the state, opening locations on Belleview in the DTC, in Lone Tree, near Fitzsimmons and in Broomfield. Those other four restaurants closed in February, but he said at the time the original on Larimer Street in Denver would endure.

In the end it endured only two more months. It will be open for the last time on April 12, according to their post on Facebook.
When we first opened Sushi-Rama, the RiNo neighborhood was just beginning to find its place in the city as a dining destination. We took a risk with a fresh approach to sushi—inviting diners to experience Japanese cuisine through a playful, accessible lens.
To the community that gathered around our conveyor belt, shared countless meals, and embraced our vision: thank you. To the staff made that vision come to life: we couldn't have done it without you.
Osaka's next plans have yet to be revealed, but no doubt it will continue in the same spirit of something fun. Meanwhile if you get a chance, go check out Sushi-Rama this week before it closes!
