11 Things to Hate About the New Buc-ee’s in Colorado
Thousands upon thousands of people have already visited the new Buc-ee's in Colorado, after opening in mid-March of 2024.
Thousands and thousands are thrilled about it; some, not so much. Even if you love Buc-ee's, you can still take issue with the gas station.
It does seem weird to call it a "gas station," as it's so huge, it feels a lot like a Wal Mart that has fuel. But that doesn't keep throngs of people from "hitting up" and loving Buc-ee's.
It wasn't until 2019, that there were Buc-ee's outside of Texas. Since then, Coloradans had been chomping at the bit to have one here. Now that there is one, at the Johnstown exit off of I-25, is it a dream come true, or a living nightmare?
It's definitely hard to say how long that we'll see this huge excitement over Colorado's Buc-ee's; some say it will wear off in a few months, others say, "Brace yourselves, it never ends." That is a lot of love for the giant convenience store about a beaver.

There really is a lot to love about Buc-ee's: The brisket, the Beaver Nuggets, the way that they pay their employees great, the very clean bathrooms, the Beaver mascot who walks around ready to take a photo with you, the jerky.
The love of Buc-ee's across the nation borders on cult-like, but you can't deny that there's nothing wrong with being so popular that people would drive half a day to visit the one in Colorado, especially for Buc-ee's bottom line.
