Popular Northern Colorado Family Restaurant Closes After 7 Years
It's never good to hear of any Colorado restaurant deciding that it was time to let it go, especially when it resides in a renovated historic building in Northern Colorado.
A building in Downtown Berthoud that dates back to 1901, the Odd Fellows Building, was purchased in 2018. It initially, with the new owners, according to the Reporter-Herald, the had a fly-fishing and distillery business. Then, they renovated the building to become an American cuisine restaurant, Bradford's Grub & Grog.
335 Mountain Avenue in Berthoud was home to a great Italian restaurant for about six years, Nonna Bella.

Bradford's was known for a varied menu: BBQ, Chicken Fried Steak, Filet Mignon, Ribeyes, sandwiches, wraps and tacos. Many spoke of their wings and clam chowder, as well. The renovation that they did to the inside of the building, brought exposed brick, from the original building; the salad bar was made of beetle-kill wood, according to the Berthoud Surveyor.
Why Did Bradford's Grub & Grog in Berthoud Close?
On February 19, 2026, Bradford's announced that February 21 would be their last day, due to the "upcoming sale of the building." Running a restaurant is tough work, it's hard not to take an offer to sell the building and collect a hefty [probable] profit, with it being prime real estate.
What's Next for the Odd Fellows Building in Berthoud?
Bradford's stated that the new owners had "exciting plans" for the historic building; though it sounds like the space may be converted into office spaces. Hopefully that's not the case, and another restaurant will occupy 335 Mountain Avenue. The small town really does need more fun, "sit down" establishments.
