Loveland has so many cool artsy things going on at any given time. Not only is it the City of Love, but it's also a city full of artists and art events, big and small.

There's Sculpture in the Park at Benson Park, Pastels on 5th with sidewalk chalk art,  Chapungu Sculpture Park at Centerra, Loveland Art Weekend in August, the Valentine Flea local art market and so many many more displays throughout the year.

For the 32nd year, the Colorado Governor's Art Show will be displayed in Loveland. The event is happening from Saturday, May 6 to Sunday, June 11 at the Loveland Museum, 503 North Lincoln. Admission is $7, and those 12 and under are free.

Recognized as one of the most significant juried fine art shows to exclusively feature Colorado artists. What is a "juried fine art show"? Well, I wondered the same thing. ArtWorcester says it's a juried exhibition that "shows artwork selected through a competitive process." Well, 62 Colorado artists made it through that process and will now be on display at the Colorado Governor's Art Show. Read more about the artists here.

The official event website says "the show is truly “Art With Heart” as net proceeds will benefit Rotary-sponsored charitable projects and causes. One-third of net proceeds will go to the Thompson Education Foundation, and additional funds will go toward scholarships for local art students. The goal of TEF is to ensure education stability and success by providing support and assistance to students and families in homeless situations." Wow, that's a great cause.

Good job Loveland! Way to promote and share art.
