True-blooded American women know the art of the "Target run." The joke that you can't go into one of their stores without spending at least $100 on random items ... well, there's a lot of truth to it.

But what happens when a country music superstar like Miranda Lambert goes on a Target run?

Miranda Lambert Goes to Target

In a video that the "Wranglers" singer posted on Instagram, she's strolling through the store like anyone else would, admiring the latest trinkets they have to offer.

The video is captioned" "Target essentials: Icee, popcorn, school supplies and Postcards From Texas."

We see Lambert walk inside the store and past some aisles of merchandise when she says, "When I usually come to Target, I get an Icee and popcorn."

Target's snack bar is a beloved piece of the store, though many have swapped them out for Starbucks locations.

Then, Lambert quips: "Getting a bunch of sh-- I don't need."

The video shows her cheeky and fun side, as the "Tin Man" hitmaker spots the school supplies and has some funny commentary.

"I like the school supplies. I don't wanna go to school, but I want the supplies. Pencil, the sharpener, Trapper Keepers," she notes, listing off her favorites.

Eventually, the star makes it to the electronics section and finds her new Postcards From Texas album (Sept. 13) on CD, holds it up for the camera and says, "This is the exclusive Target cover. The cows are different and the swag is different."

A few things to unpack here: It's super cool that such a big star is able to waltz through Target and do some shopping without too much attention surrounding her. It's not clear which location this is, but it's presumably near her Nashville home.

Fans thought this was neat, too, with one asking, "No one recognized her at Target?!"

Then there's the fact that an artist can still do the 'old school' tradition of walking into a physical store and buying an album in its tangible form — in this case, a CD. Not only that, she's driving one of the few vehicles that still has a CD player. So, she's able to buy her new album and put the physical disc into the car's stereo so she can listen to it how it was intended.

As the first song starts to play, the Grammy winner is visibly elated, shaking her fists like a 5 year-old whi is excited to get a popsicle.

"There it is!" she says as she cranks it up.

Next up for Lambert are live concerts in Mississippi, Tennessee and Oklahoma. She's also heavily nominated at the upcoming 2024 People's Choice Country Awards, where she's booked to perform.
