It’s Been an Amazing Year – My 5 Greatest Accomplishments of 2017
Wow! What a year 2017 has been! I have had a few lows but I have never had higher highs in my life. This year started very strangely but turned into something amazing and then some. Let's start with January where it all began.
5- I took a sleep study and was diagnosed with extreme sleep apnea and got a CPAP machine. This was the beginning of a new me. I finally got rest and energy and that started to turn my life around.and boy would I need.it.
4- January also saw us almost lose Todd in a horrific traffic incident that scared the hell out of us but were so grateful that he survived. The accident happened just a couple days before our Habajeeba Show which meant I had to rewrite the show in a day and pull it off without Todd. We did it but it wasn't easy, yet I was so proud that my team rallied around me and we rocked it. It was lowlight and highlight at the same time.
3- April brought us another incredibly successful 28 Hours of Hope where we once again raised over $100,000 to help abused children in Northern Colorado. This event fills my heart.
2- June saw Susan, Todd and I get inducted into the Country Radio Hall of Fame, the greatest honor of our career. I still can't get over that night. It was that honor that propelled Susan to an unimaginable weight loss and health journey to fit into "that dress". Her change of lifestyle and energy and joy she was experiencing is what propelled me to my number one accomplishment.
1- No surprise the biggest accomplishment of the year, and my life for that matter, was following Susan's lead and hook up with Benchmark Medical Group in Windsor which led me to the best health of my life and a 140 lb weight loss. Wow!! What a year. I even got a bonus at the end of the year by finding out I am going to be Papa to a 4th grandchild that is on the way next year.
Thank you for being a huge part of this life changing year. I am a blessed man and I will never take it for granted. Bring on 2018!
