There are a lot of churches for many denominations all over the state of Colorado. However, there is one that is much different from the rest. Located at 400 South Loagan Street in downtown Denver stands a church that has been there since the early 1900s.

History of Denver’s International Church of Cannabis

This church used to be a Lutheran church, but in 2017, it reopened as a place of worship for those with a new religion. Cannabis. This church has become somewhat of a tourist attraction in Colorado and even has a TripAdvisor page with more than 1,000 reviews.

According to Wikipedia, the International Church of Cannabis is a religious organization that uses cannabis as a sacrament and opened its doors to the public on April 20, 2017. Members of the church are known as elevationists and use the sacred flower ritually.

Seven days a week, those wanting to experience the International Church of Cannabis can do so with the BEYOND Light Show and Meditation session for $25 per person. The TripAdvisor page for the International Church of Cannabis says that you can immerse yourself in a world of illumination during the world-famous guided meditation and laser light show.

While recreational cannabis is legal to adults 21 and over in the state of Colorado, the International Church of Cannabis is welcoming to all ages for the light show and meditation sessions. This church even has an arcade, gallery, theater, art garden, and a media room that features over 10,000 video games to play for free.
