Food Chain Closed in NOCO; New Store Opening
Over the last few years, many popular food chains have closed locations across the country, with a decent number closing in Northern Colorado. Some have closed due to closing older, less productive locations, some have closed due to going out of business, and others have closed for different reasons. Sadly, this trend has continued, and food chains are still closing locations across the country. It likely won't stop anytime soon. Recently, one popular food chain closed a location in Northern Colorado, but the good news is that we know what will fill the building moving forward.
Subway in Northern Colorado Closed
Subway is one of the most popular food chains in the world, but over the last few years, it has seen a number of locations close for a variety of reasons. Fort Collins is home to nine Subways currently, after the location at 1101 W Elizabeth closed near the CSU campus. The good news is that, unlike other chains that have closed, there are plenty of other locations in the area, so residents can still get Subway sandwiches if they choose. If the location was ideal for you, though, do not fret, as the new residents will offer sandwiches as well, and it is a good replacement for Subway.
New Ike's Love & Sandwiches in Fort Collins
Subway may be gone at the Elizabeth location, but soon a second Ike's Love & Sandwiches will move in. There is currently a store in Fort Collins at 2842 Council Tree Avenue. For students at CSU or residents on the other side of town, it will be nice not having to navigate traffic and be able to get a delicious sandwich nearby. The food chain has locations in California, Arizona, Texas, Utah, Nevada, Louisiana, and Colorado. There are currently six stores in Colorado, with one in Fort Collins, one in Longmont, two in Denver, one in Colorado Springs, and one in Highlands Ranch. The store offers a variety of sandwiches and some unique options as well. You can check out the full menu by clicking the link.

It is sad to see the Subway location close, but it is exciting to see another Ike's move in and to be closer to campus, offering students more options or giving fans a place to eat after a game. Make sure to check back to find out when the new store opens so you can stop by and check it out.
