Northern Colorado Summer Starts With The Opening Of The Holiday Twin Drive In
It's summertime, which means it's time to go to the drive-in. The Holiday Twin Drive-In in Fort Collins is officially open for business.
Sadly, drive-in movies have become more and more rare in America. Being born and raised in Northern Colorado, I feel pretty darn lucky to have grown up not only going to the drive-in but also raising my kids in a town with one.
If you've never been to a drive-in movie before, let me give you the 411
There are two movie bays at the Fort Collins Holiday Twin, each featuring 2 movies per night. So if you're able to stay up late, you can catch two movies for the price of one. Score.
Movies begin once the sun goes down, which gets later and later in the season. While movies currently begin around 8:15, the gates usually open two hours before.
Guests are welcome to bring food and drinks, but there is also a snack bar with a wide range of options.
Holiday Twin is really good at matching up the double feature. One bay is usually geared more towards kids, while the other bay offers more romance and horror options.
Here's what's currently playing at the Holiday Twin Drive-In
Side One- The Devil Wears Prada and Michael
Side Two- Super Mario Bros. and Mortal Kombat.
Here's a big change for the 2026 season. You can now visit the drive-in on Sundays, which has previously always been closed. What a perfect way to end the week.
The Holiday Twin Drive-In is located at 2206 South Overland Trail in Fort Collins, and the screens have the most beautiful mountain backdrop in America. But I might be biased.
