Don’t Waste The Trip- Everything Closed On The 4th Of July
It's the week of the 4th of July, which means you might be making plans and running around preparing. And it's inevitable that on the day of the festivities, you'll realize you forgot something. Plates, propane, bottled water.
I think this has happened to everyone at least once, and it sucks. So what stores are open on the 4th for those last-minute emergencies? Also, let's look at stores that will be closed on the holiday in Northern Colorado.
Stores Open On The 4th Of July
- King Soopers- Pasta Salad running low? Hit up the KS deli.
- Safeway- Why not grab some dog treats in case the fireworks spook your pup?
- Walmart- Get yourself a new pajama set because YOLO.
- Target - No reason needed to go to Target.
- Whole Foods- Did you run out of organic toferky hot dogs? Did you really? Like, seriously? Okay. The good news is you can shoot up to Whole Foods and buy more.
- Trader Joe's- Because everyone loves Two Buck Chuck.
- Sam's Club - If you're hosting lots of people, please have plenty of toilet paper on hand. If you do happen to run out, rest assured you can head to Sam's Club and buy a 400-pack. America.
- CVS and Walgreens- Need a prescription filled? Ran out of hemorrhoid cream? Whatever ailments you have, Walgreens and CVS have got you covered.
I have to admit there are more businesses open on the 4th of July than I thought there would be.
Stores Closed On The 4th Of July
- Costco- Odds are, if it's a holiday, Costco is closed, and I have to say I think that's pretty honorable. Allowing employees to celebrate with a day off keeps them happy.
Holy cow, only one national store popped up when I googled places closed. But if you were hoping to hit the post office or the DMV to celebrate America, you're straight up out of luck.
Obviously, all government offices, as well as banks, mail, and shipping businesses such as FedEx, are closed.
