National Weather Service warns of 'critical fire danger,' with Cameron Peak Fire, and a handful of other wildfires, continuing to grow. 

National Weather Service Boulder Meteorologist Paul Schlatter says that 'strong west winds' will pick up Friday afternoon, and continue overnight. Schlatter said gusts in areas could reach up to 60 miles per hour.

According to the National Weather Service, wind gusts could reach up to 33 miles per hour in the Fort Collins area. High winds are expected at higher elevations.

The Cameron Peak Fire continues to grow to the west of Fort Collins, with Highway 34 now closed leading to Estes Park.
