Have You Tried This Legendary Former Denver Bronco’s Sauces?
After retiring from their careers in professional sports, many athletes take up new hobbies or business endeavors. From car dealerships and clothing lines to cannabis companies, broadcast careers, and voicing video games, former athletes have their hands in all sorts of unsportsmanlike industries.
Since retiring from the NFL, a former Denver Bronco has traded in his cleats for condiments.
Three-time Super Bowl-winning wide receiver, Ed McCaffrey, launched his own brand of mustard and horseradish sauce. The former NFLer personally taste-tested hundreds of combinations in his personal kitchen to concoct the perfect blends.
McCaffrey's sauces can now be found in grocery stores across Colorado and into Nebraska, and can also be purchased on Amazon. As of mid-June 2024, McCaffrey's sauces are now offered worldwide via McCaffreybrands.com.
There are several flavors of McCaffrey's Rocky Mountain Mustard: spicy brown, creamy dijon, Sriracha, beer mustard, and chipotle, as well as the horseradish sauce. The bottles feature mountains in the background with Ed McCaffrey's smiling face in the forefront. Not all of the ingredients are grown in Colorado, but according to McCaffrey, the flavors are inspired by the rugged beauty of the Rocky Mountains.
Quite a few restaurants around Colorado also support the legendary NFLer by using his mustards and sauces in their establishments.
The legendary Bronco even takes to Twitter from time to time to promote his own product.
McCaffrey played in the NFL from 1991 to 2003, spending his last nine seasons wearing No. 87 for the Denver Broncos. With roots in Colorado, he continued his career coaching football at Valor Christian High School and at the University of Northern Colorado. He currently lives with his family in Denver.
