There’s a Harry Potter Drone Show Coming to Colorado and it Looks Amazing

This is so surreal to write, but did you know that the Harry Potter movie is already 25 years old? I feel ancient. To celebrate the big 25th anniversary, there's an hour-long drone show happening in Denver, and it looks epic.

The fully immersive drone show was created by Warner Brothers, and Denver is one of only 20 locations offering it. It kicks off in Los Angeles on June 13th and will be shown at the Tivoli Quad on the Auraria Campus. I've never been there, but I'm guessing it has a lot of open space, and you can't beat Colorado weather in July.

Here is some info about the show

• Guests will get a light-up bracelet synced to the show, making them feel like they're part of it. This idea has become very popular at concerts in the past few years. I went to the Kacey Musgraves show at Fiddler's Green last year, and the bracelet element made the show so much cooler.
• There will be at least 1,200 drones lighting up the night sky on July 10th and 11th.
• The drones sync with the famous Harry Potter musical score, creating a truly immersive experience.
• Some beloved Harry Potter characters will be making an appearance, including the sorting hat and Dobby the house elf. My 8 year old daughter is going to flip.
• Drone shows have become more and more popular, with Denver offering drone holiday shows in November and December, as well as a very memorable drone show called "Indy Eve" that happened last year at Civic Center Park.

Tickets to the event will be $55 for adults and $30 for children, which isn't too bad, considering it's an entire evening of fun, including Harry Potter themed snacks, Harry Potter merch for sale, and Harry Potter butterbeer. You can purchase your tickets beginning on April 29th, and early birds can save 15% by joining the waitlist before tickets go on sale. The doors will open at 7:30, and the show will start at 9:30. Gotta love that late evening summer sunset time.

This event is something I know my family will love experiencing if we can get tickets before they sell out.
