The Greeley Police Department raised over $10,000 last year by taking the Polar Plunge to help Special Olympics. With your help, they can do even better this year.

The Polar Plunge last year was held in Boulder and we couldn't be any prouder of the Greeley PD team, and the GPOA, by the money they raised last year. This year the event will be local as the new venue is Horsetooth Reservoir so I hope to see them shatter their goal of raising $6000 this year for Special Olympics.

The Polar Plunge will be held on Saturday, February 21 and I imagine it will be plenty cold. If you would like to take the plunge yourself, you have to raise $75 for the honor of actually jumping into an ice cold lake and with any luck, they will have to chop out a big hole for the plungers and yes, it is an honor to take the plunge.

If you would rather keep your coat on and watch from the "chicken coop," but still want to help, please consider making a donation on behalf of the Greeley Police Department's team by clicking on the link below and your donation is tax deductible.  If you would like to start your own team, click on the Polar Plunge link above.
