Giraffe at Denver Zoo has Died

The Denver Zoo announced yesterday that one of their giraffes has died following a medical procedure. Kazi, the 2-year-old male giraffe, had a successful surgical procedure, and only ran into trouble after the operation.

During the recovery from the anesthesia used during his procedure, Kazi developed abnormal breathing followed by complete loss of breathing. Medical staff attempted to resuscitate Kazi, but sadly, they were unable to save the giraffe.
