George Strait Recorded His First Hit 35 Years Today [VIDEO]

George Strait is the king of country and you will not find much argument about it. He has been pumping out hits for 35 years and still is today. He had his 60th number one hit within the past couple of years and recently put out one of the best albums he has make in years with 'Cold Beer Conversation'.

George first began his hit making recordings back on this date in 1981 when he holed up in Music City Music Hall in Nashville and recorded the groundbreaking single 'Unwound' which would go on to influence everyone from Toby Keith to Garth Brooks. Just about every country singer has at one time or another sung this tune at a bar. Happy anniversary to this country classic.
