George Jones Recorded the Greatest Country Love Song 35 Years Ago Today [VIDEO]

If you ask diehard country music fans what the greatest love song of all time is you will find a big percentage will say George Jones classic "He Stopped Loving Her Today" would top the list. It was on this date in 1980 that George recorded this smash hit in the Columbia Recording Studio in Nashville. He bet producer Billy Sherrill that it would not go to number one. George was wrong.
