As vaccination rates increase across Colorado, the City of Fort Collins is resuming service on two of its Transfort routes.

According to a press release, Transfort halted service on Routes 11 and 12 in April of 2020 due to capacity limits, low staffing, and decreased ridership brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Starting on Monday (June 14), residents will be able to ride the routes Mondays through Saturdays on the following reduced schedule:

  • Route 11, South Transit Center
    • first departure is at 7 a.m., last departure is at 7 p.m.
  • Route 12, Horsetooth & Ziegler
    • first departure is at 6:26 a.m., last departure is at 7:26 p.m.

Transfort is also returning to a regular schedule on Route 16, which will depart from the South Transit Center every 30 minutes on weekdays and once per hour on Saturdays.

Late-night service is still largely unavailable; however, the City runs an on-demand taxi service along suspended routes (2, 3, 8, 14, 16, and MAX) from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays.

Residents can schedule a same-day taxi ride by calling (970) 225-4831 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Although the City has rescinded its local face-covering order, masks are still required while in Transfort buses and facilities.
