Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a Police Officer or if you were even cut out to do it?  Here's your chance!

Residents from all over the community have until June 30 to sign up to learn more about the police department.

Fort Collins Police Services officials will be accepting applications for their annual Citizen Police Academy.

The Citizen Police Academy will show how Fort Collins police operate in the community, allowing residents to experience some of the conditions similar to those experienced by police officers in their training and on the job.

You do have to be at least 18 years old to participate, but there is no fee for the academy — just a commitment to attend all classes.  Space is limited to 20 participants.

For applications or additional information, contact Sgt. Doug Smith at 970-221-6832 or at dcsmith@fcgov.com. The deadline for application submission is June 30.
