These kids are all right.

In the 2020 National Science Bowl, five eighth graders from Preston Middle School beat teams across the country in a question and answer game that tested them on biology, chemistry, Earth science, physics, energy, and math.

According to PSDSchools.org, the students that deserve recognition today are "Colin Magelky, Jackson Dryg, Quentin Perez-Wahl, Logan Bowers, and Kary Fang. Their coach is Preston science teacher Logan Burke."

The eighth-graders won $2,500 for their science department in the competition, which took place virtually and came after hours and hours of prep from the team, including nonstop studying and practicing together.

The National Science Bowl is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy and is usually held in Washington, D.C., but due to COVID-19 was conducted virtually this year. Congratulations to our Northern Colorado winners!
