A 23-year-old Fort Collins man was arrested after sexually assaulting a minor that he met on social media.

According to a Fort Collins Police press release, the female victim was reportedly in town visiting family in April of 2020. While in Fort Collins, the victim connected with Abraham Carranza-Estrada through social media.

Carranza-Estrada allegedly arranged to meet the victim in person several different times, in which they engaged in sexual activity. In addition, Carranza-Estrada convinced the female to send him sexually explicit photos.

Following a lengthy investigation, Carranza-Estrada was arrested by Fort Collins Police on September 17, 2020. He was booked into the Larimer County Jail on felony charges for Sexual Assault on a Child, Enticement of a Child, and Exploitation of a Child.
